One chap has produced a Windows program with a database of lots of the available codes for many different models. Just Google for "BMW coding database"

Kudos to everyone here and on other forums for encouragement and information.
Which code did you use for the mirrors auto fold? I don't like holding the lock button to fold mirrors.

Would anyone be able to show me 1 coding just to get me started? Perhaps remote in or something of that type?

I bought the cables, downloaded the software and have gone as far as connecting the car to the computer.

This is my first time doing something like this to a car so I'm deathly afraid of destroying something and avoiding the warranty.

What Simon said... The only thing you need a high-current charger for is if you are reprogramming the DME engine management module apparently, and I for one would not attempt that

I get errors when accessing ACSM2 to disable seatbelt gong. 3 modules in FA. All three throw an error when attempting to read coding. Any ideas?

Was successful in removing all disclaimers, changing the startup logo, up/down windows with keyfob.

What version of the data files do you have, as I was able to code the SM2 module with the "Easy Entry" function without any problems recently on my X1? I have v59.1 Lite on my laptop, with E-Sys v3.27.1

I believe that 59.2 is the most recent version of the data files.

59.2 here. Maybe that's the issue. I see three readable modules under ACSM2. All 3 seem to give me an error.

Well my first reply was talking about the wrong module entirely; I just noticed you were referring to the ACSM2 module, and I read it as SM2... Sorry!

However I'm sat in the car as I type this and I can read the coding data from the first of the three CAFD listed in the ACSM2 module, and go into the FDL Editor view as well. So no errors until that point at least. As mentioned above, this is with version 59.1 Lite.

Will be getting a X1 to code soon and just want to check if anyone has coded the following 2 items on a F48 X1?

1) Start stop to remember last setting
2) Tire pressures and temperatures displayed in TPMS screen

Will be first time coding a X1
Thanks

Thats very difficult since it changes per model and can even change with some hardware changes.

As mentioned earlier in this thread if you search Google for "BMW Coding Database" you will find one of the best databases of codes available currently

Start stop remembering is standard in the U.S. and I am pretty sure I have seen others code this before it was standard.

I have tire pressure and temp coded in my X1. If I'm not mistaken, the x1 shows temperatures by default. The drunk Temp setting has to be changed to show both values.

This UK site gives you an idea of what can be coded on the F48 - Ultimate Tuning

My UK car already displays the tyre temperatures and pressures (as long as you are moving) in the Sports Displays screen; that didn't need to be coded. However it didn't remember the Auto-Start-Stop button setting between trips, so I coded that option as follows:
BODY - 3023 - TCM_MSA_MEMORY = nicht_aktiv (default) -> aktiv
It sounds like the default in the US is actually "aktiv" from the posts above.

As others have said, there's a downloadable Windows coding database which contains a lot of the possible F48 options - BMW Coding Database

Hope some of that helps!

It seems that the forum itself has changed the link and replaced it with asterisks. If you simply search for "bmw coding database" on Google you should find a link to the site (w w w . b m w c o d i n g d a t a b a s e . c o m). There's a Windows app you can download and install, and then filter by vehicle to get the list of coding options and how to enable/disable them.
