One thing to be aware of with setting the delay value to zero is that you lose the ability to disarm the interior motion sensors when locking the car. This is normally done with a second lock button press within 10 seconds of the first, but if the Komfort_Schliessen value is set to zero you can't disarm the sensors. Another forum member noticed this and I've confirmed it. This was an issue for me and I had to revert the change I had made and increase the delay value from zero. We sometimes need to disable the interior sensors when locking up, typically when leaving our dog in the car for a minute while going to a shop etc.

Just one to be aware of...

Sure, it would be a good idea for them to unfold before you pull away, but not everyone remembers to unfold them using the button and not everyone codes to have them unfold upon unlocking. The car ensures that they eventually do unfold. I have no idea why the default is such a high speed. The code reduces that speed.

I can envision such tight squeezes that one might want to keep the mirrors folded while driving (very narrow street) or not unfold them before leaving a parking space (like that time I crawled in through the tailgate because jerks had parked too close even to open a door).

Am I missing something?

Not everyone wants them unfolding immediately.

I for example often I have to move cars between tight spaces, so I need them folded all the time in the space and really dont want them unfolding when driving say 8mph between spaces as I would immediately have to have them fold again to get in the next space.

I do want them unfolding when I start driving down the road.

So confused. First response said that they unfold when you unlock the car, without the car even being started let alone moving. But others here are saying you don't always want them to unfold. So which is it? Which of the codes makes it unfold upon unlocking?

The mirrors automatically unfold, as soon as you unlock the car, only if they were folded in using the remote (press lock button and hold). This is certainly the default behaviour on UK cars, without any coding.

If you fold the mirrors in using the button on the door, they will not unfold as soon as you unlock the car. They will unfold when the speed threshold, adjustable through coding, is reached, or of course if you press the button on the door again.

The US X1's are different, from the factory they don't do anything with the alarm regarding the mirrors. They will only auto fold or unfold by pressing the interior button. Not sure on the speed threshold since I've coded mine to just fold on lock and unfold on unlock.

Actually, I want to show up the tire pressure and temp. on iDrive information page, so I code HU_ENTRYNAV 3001 as follow:
RDC >>> aktiv
RDC_SAFETY >>> aktiv
RPA >>> aktiv
RDC_FORTSCHRITTSANZEIGE >>> aktiv
REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA >>> rdc
RDC_DRUCK_TEMP >>> druck_und_temperature

But finally there have no any change on iDrive.

I also try to code one by one, but same as result (no change). So that I want to change back RDC, RDC_safety and RPA to default.

Need help please.

What is possible and the correct coding depends on vehicle hardware.

Does your vehicle have option 2VB? If yes, all that is needed is RDC_SAFETY > aktiv.

Almaretto, thank you for your information. After searching the 2VB, finally I understand what is the meaning for Run-flat indicator (my car) and the TPM (option). I don't have 2VB, so that's why I cannot show up the information. I will code back the default value to those ECUs. Need more study for my car. Thank you again.

Any updates on the radio EQ/DSP? I am planning on replacing my amp, and wish to know if I can use the built in amp like my mothers X3 has.

You need to use "Read ECU" rather than "Read SVT". That should sort it...

You must use "Read (ECU, ≠ SVT)", for all BDC_BODY vehicles [X1 (F048), X5 & X6 (F15/F16/F85/F86), I3 & I8 (I001/I012), & new Gxx].

You would normally get the same information. The only difference is SVT pulls information from central Vehicle Configuration Management (VCM) and ECU individually pulls from each module.
