Hmm I have no real clue then… did you buy the correct steering wheel buttons?

I mean after I searched I found that BMW x1 uses a bit unusual button layout compared to other BMW’s. TJA button is switched, if you look up my post in the Post your F48 photo there I have a working steering wheel photo after replacement of the cruise control knob.

My steering wheel and szl from f45, I think it's same.
Maybe wire loom in bdc from sas affect to that behavior, but I'm not sure

Which version of buttons do you have?

Look here, TJA should be Top-left https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_5068

I think you don’t have the right buttons hardwire wise….
Which year the F45 was from? As you can see realoem should you have part no https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=61319326475 but this is only in production since 01/2016 so if the wheel comes off a pre 2016 F45 then this might be nonexchangeable retrospectively.

Do you happen to know part number of the buttons?

Did you also add 5AR and 5AT to VO?
