I'm not a big fan of it, nor am I of my car. But I wasn't a fan of the sound of my E46 M3 either, though strangely I didn't mind my N54 335i.

But I don't really care about sound. I don't drive a car for the sound.

I'd rate them

N54 335>F8x>M4 GTS>E46 M3

Of course honestly I have never heard my F80 outside to even have a clue what it sounds like.

I'd agree with the above. The N54 335is was the best sounding stock 6 cyl BMW ever made. For the price it sounded fantastic.

MPE sounds perfect on the regular m3/4 imo
