Hey folks,

My centre-rear seat fold-down-tab (?) has become detached from some component of the internal housing. This means I cannot fold the rear-centre seat down.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time the dealer fixed it during a regularly scheduled oil change, however I now have to bring the car back in to fix it again.

I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this issue! Is it something I could easily fix myself?

The first image shows the pull-tab/latch detached from the mechanism used to fold the seat down.

Re-attached and the seat folds fine.

Also shown are the screws used to hold the cover plate are T20 torx screws. And the alley key used to remove them. It was a tight space so a short key is necessary

Thank you for sharing, glad you managed to fix. I have not had this problem but the right rear remote release (switch located in boot) has repeatedly broken with dealer stating it is down to original seat installation.
