Week 48 Support Group
Genius told me that my build will start sometime within 10 days of 11/28 and take between 10 days and two weeks to complete,
I'm set for PCD delivery, but late December to mid-February delivery might make for a long, long trip back to Upstate NY in a blizzard, so I may have to pass on that. Anyone else in Week 48? PCD? Update: Car completed 11/28. Now 4 to 5.5 weeks to make it to the dealer. (Not doing PCD after all. Risk of getting stuck in snow is too great.) Update: As of 12/24 my car is now in Newark, NJ having been just dropped off by the Theben.

Thanks! So your car goes through Galveston, right?
What have they told you about an estimated delivery date?

I believe it will go through Galveston. To be honest, I haven't heard anything about a delivery date, although based on what I've read in the forums, I'm anticipating late January.
Have you heard anything different? Last edited by fourtitude; 11-04-2016 at 12:57 PM.. |

I was originally told around Christmas, but that seemed unlikely from the start.

Nah that's way too optimistic. You should expect about late Jan delivery, you may only have to deal with a month of inclement weather for the most part. I have a week 47 that went into production yesterday

And your build start date would make you a week 45, right??? Or 44? |

The week you get is when it is expected to finish production not start. So as far as I was told I was a 47 build . And that my car was supposed to be finished about 11/15-16 which it is on track to be.

OK, that would make sense. But Genius may have given me some misinformation then, because IIRC they told me the build starts on 11/28, not that it's completed on that date.
Presuming that you are correct, I may have a Christmas present after all.

Two things guys...
Seems BMW is pushing up the dates of these - mine was due late November (to be built) and is now scheduled to finish production on 11/17. next.. the car goes status 150 - and some assume that means "the car has started production" - because that's what BMW titles it - but in effect, it just means the car can't have any more changes. Mine went 150 two days ago and it certainly does not take 14 days to build one of these

MYBMW updated my production status this AM. I'm not sure how useful a tool that website is at present. Genius has a tap into BMW's production database, but it cannot access prodction status codes like they used to.
I'm not really grousing. I'm just commenting on BMW's provision of info on cars in production.

I'm still not given anytime, but my SA is telling me my build should start sometime in December. My SA also told me my build should be delivered to dealership towards the end of January. I believe I am #3 on the allocation list at the dealership. As of now waiting for the car to start production. I'm new to this whole thing and wondering if anyone can estimate a time, if not totally understandable.

Looks like mine is scheduled to finish production on 11/28.
I wonder how many will be on the same boat. |
