Arrow Electric Scooters

anyone here likes to spend some time on electric scooters?
or most of you hate them since they re piling up on the streets tend to kick them?

i got one 4-5 months ago, and pretty happy with it since its soo much fun and lets you see the city with different pair of eyes or just chilling near the sea.. its well over 1000km already and enjoy each meter of it..

How long can you scoot around on it before it needs a recharge?

I hated those things when we lived in Atlanta. Entirely too many drunk dimwits that I'm convinced have never ridden a bicycle. Blasting down sidewalks and hitting people.

Then me and my mates found a pile of them outside a bar and figured why not on our way to the next bar. DAMN those things are fun. Now I'm the drunk dimwit (that has ridden a bicycle).

hehe yeah its quite fun while drunk..
im pushing the tire pressure boundaries a bit.. putting in 20-30% more pressure than the safety limit so i can easily go longer than 25km (15mil).. as long as im not going uphill that much..

yeah i guess its forbidden to ride on sidewalks now no?
i was in California in October it was already forbidden riding on sidewalks.. at least in LA and SD.. probably right after hopefully we ll get rid of the virus, people ll rush around with scooters and they ll ban scooters on sidewalks in all states..

I am on my second one.

1) Segway ES4 (FWD) 19mph
2) Ecoreco L5+ (RWD) 25mph

I will probably upgrade to the 2-wheel drive version that can do 40-50mph. Those things are fun if you live in the city and have a short commute. I use mine daily once it gets warmer (except rainy days).

As with everything you get used to the speed - so 25mph feels really slow now. I think 50mph will make it that much more enjoyable.

you need more like a gear probably.. can you post a pic of the one you re thinking about?

Those two are made by fluid. There are many companies now so will need to do some more research.

I used to ride motorcycles so still have the gear in my closet. I knew that one day I will need it again

I have got an electric scooter too . It's MI .It's fun to ride on it but you have to be careful though . Besides, it's got two drive modes which is ECO and SPORT. When you select the later one it can definitely climbs up the gradient that can no be crested by ECO .
It's thumb controller model and can be folded as well

I'd probably hate them if I lived in the middle of a metropolis where the scooter rental companies are active.

That said, they were such a wonderful way of exploring European cities that I will ALWAYS forgo a taxi if it is within scooter-distance.

The idea is awesome and super convenient. The problem is that most people are lazy and inconsiderate. They leave them in the middle of the sidewalk on the ground like piles of garbage. They don't slow down when there's heavy pedestrian traffic... if people would just grow the fuck up a little, these things wouldn't be so hated.

If I ride it in SPORT it can takes up to 25 kilometers which is nice given its size but I can't ride it full throttle .
No issues but for those thumbs controllers my thumb can feel some numbs or a little discomfort after a while .

I pre-ordered the Apollo Pro about 2 weeks ago!

https://apolloscooters.co/products/apollo-pro

I initially bought a really cheap one off Amazon for the purpose of exercising my dogs. Found out that I had a lot more fun with it than I realized. I could take the scooter to the bank and anywhere around my city without having to drive there. Lots of fun.

20 mph limit wasnt cutting it for me so I had to upgrade.

BTW my dogs LOVE chasing me around on this thing. It's quite exciting to ride side by side with your dogs going 20 mph. Gives them one hell of an exercise too. I want to see just how fast my dogs can run and keep up with me. Fortunately, I live close to a park so I take them there.

A good friend of mine has an uncle that has lots of money and toys. He poured a concrete long oval track and has 4 scooters. His will do 25-30mph, not sure the make. A few of us made a visit and I have never laughed so much nor had as many abrasions to tend to in a day as I did that day. I can't wait to go back. Can't imagine 50mph though. That seems deadly to me but I guess you build up to it.
