Traffic Jam Assist (5AR & Quidzel HOD Emulator)

Hello.

"Quidzel HOD Emulator" was imported from the United States, "5AR" was added to "FA", and "VO coding" was done. And we realized "Traffic Jam Assist" without touching the steering wheel.

I'm happy.

Woah that's very neat. I just checked that link for the quidzel .. it seems you need to have the ACC option already installed for this to be an add on?

My "F39" had optional "5AT" and "5DF", so implementation was easy.

Very cool! I opted for my heated steering wheel.. so I fear I may not be able to implement this. I am not sure what hardware I may be missing. From what I understand the system is camera based.. but my steering wheel is not the correct one I'm sure, as it was not optional to have both together (which bummed me out)

Thank you very much.

P.S.
The hardware missing from the car was sent by Franklin via USUP. It took two weeks to arrive in Japan.

what is the difference between ACC Stop and Go and Traffic Jam Assist?

Is it that the Traffic Jam Assist also steers the car automatically?

And does that Quidzel device have to stay attached like that permanently?

thanks

Hi satz,

ACC Stop and Go:

Traffic Jam Assist:

"Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)" is not a self-driving car, just an assist in a traffic jam.

With the "Quidzel HOD Emulator", TJA can be realized without changing the steering wheel.
Moreover, TJA can be realized even if you release your hand.

The "Quidzel HOD Emulator" should be left in place of a handle with a touch sensor.

Thank you Takabo. I have the ACC, so was wondering whether it's worth getting the traffic jam assistant...

And here we are doing additional FDL.

Changed the maximum speed of traffic jam support from 60 km/h to 99 km/h
ECUs → SAS → 3000 FAS, FC → LDM_QalcgRel_v_Tacho_aktiv_kmh = Werte = 63 (Default: Werte = 3C )

Effective minimum traffic congestion support speed from 35km/h
ECUs → SAS → 3000 FAS, FC → LDM_QalcgRel_v_Tacho_aktiv_low_kmh = 35(Default: 55)

P.S.
The following settings are required when testing on public roads.

Remove restrictions to allow congestion support on all roads
ECUs → SAS → 3000 FAS, FC → LDM_STA_Einschraenkung = keine Einschraenkung (Default: nur auf Autobahn und Landstrassen_mit_baulicher_Trennung)

Hi,

I retrofitted Traffic Jam Assist at F39.

At that time, I thought 5AT was essential. . .

My friend F45 is a 5AS equipped car that is not a 5AT.
We recently implemented a 5DF retrofit. Today we are retrofitting Traffic Jam Assist (5AR & Quidzel HOD Emulator).

5AR (Quidzel HOD Emulator) can operate on a car equipped with 5AS + 5DF.

P.S.
"5AS + 5DF" is almost the same as 5AT.

We've installed a bunch of TJAs on i3s and X5s. Looks like we will need to try this out on the X2 next.

automatic start

Hi everyone,

After the first 3 seconds of stopping, the RES button will extend the automatic start to 30 seconds.

It is very convenient.
