M35i badges

Hi all, does anyone know if you can get the normal X2 rear badges but in the X35i colours? They look so much sweeter in darker colour!

Not available as an OEM-option, but maybe some aftermarket options on eBay?

I’m getting the X2 and the M35i badges in black from IND Distribution. I’ll make a post when I do.

That's the M35i-style X2-logo. Just google the part number

I second Billnchristy...Plastidipping the badge is so easy to do, and looks oem.

Scrap that Checked YouTube I'll give it a go. I'm guessing I'll just do a few layers so it's more grey than black.

Any idea how this works with jet washing and general washing? Does it last long?

They sell a smoke color which just darkens everything, I bet it would look good.

Yeah I'm going to try the smoke one. I'm wondering how long this stuff lasts though. Like surely if it just peels off when you wash the car it just comes off too?

Nope, I smoked my wife’s grille because it was chrome and looked stupid and it’s just showing age 2 years later.

my matte black plastip coating on badges lasted over 3 years without any noticeable fade/peel.. Even if it did, you could do another single coat.

I did two coats originally. With a few hours in between to dry.

You can just paint the badge yourself. You just need to de-chrome it. Otherwise the paint will flake off eventually. You can do this in a couple days using bleach and then ammonia... but not both at the same time of course as it will create poisonous fumes. Google how to de-chrome a badge... plenty out there on this topic.
