Turbo Wistle

Has anyone else noticed a distinct whistle from the turbo under acceleration? I only hear it when the window is open and it doesn't bother me but I never noticed it with my previous X1.

Yes I have noticed this - as you say only when accelerating. I am not concerned as have had similar with previous turbo cars.

Yes - only with the window opened though.

I have the same turbo whistle in my new xline sdrive 18i with manual gearbox. It sounds like a metallic sound coming from the machine, only when accelarating with the window open. I took it back to my dealer twice and the second time they changed the turbine. However the whistle still exists and it's quite annoying for a new expensive car! They told me that they dont have any other technical instructions from Germany, so I have to wait for a possible recall in the future. The car was built Dcember/15. Does anyone else have the same issue? Any thoughts are really appreciated. Thank you!
