Hi...
we have disassembled the door panel of an f48 and we have only seen this blue 4-pin connector. we believe it is sound and not ambient light. What is your opinion? Last edited by rzorsan; 03-06-2022 at 12:43 PM.. |

We keep moving forward with the topic....
Yesterday a colleague who has requisitioned the ambient lights of an Alliexpress kit gave me these codes so that in our Xs the intensity can be unlinked from that of the frame and the 2 colors (orange/white) that the equipped ones have as standard can be used. With Bimmercode this makes the Idrive menu active: HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > COLOR_SWITCH > aktiv > activate menu HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > COLOR_SWITCH_LINES > urban > determine vehicle color scheme (urban, modern, sport, luxury) HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > HELLIGKEIT_AMBILIGHT > aktiv > Ambient intensity menu activated. And works!! And with this it must be unlinked from the lights roulette of the box and that it obeys the Idrive menu... Fembody > 3070 > Ambience_Helligkeit > wert_01 >wert_01 ; 0.64 > 0.99 > Brightness Ambient light Fembody > 3070> Ambiente_Nachfuehrung > nicht aktiv > Brightness setting of Ambient light becomes independent from the brightness setting of the instrument cluster The first one changes the value and is for the maximum brightness The second is to make it independent But it doesn't work for me... no matter how much I select the color or brightness from the Idrive, it only obeys the roulette, and doesn't change color... it works for him, although he doesn't use the serial cable as us... something else must be missing. |

Hi, I’ve a BMW F45 and I bought this 2 pieces to retrofit de ambient lightning. The problem is when I turn on the lights, this ambient light doesn’t work. Is it necessary to do coding with bimmercode or something like that? could the led module have come faulty? Thanks.

Current ok > Check LED module. No current > Probably not connected or needs coding. |

Also, which section of the trim did you find the wiring? I've checked at the far end oppersite the steering wheel and couldn't see any cable ends. |

Also this is another good option: https://www.leebmann24.de/ Check the first few pics for the trim, basically the part above the glove box. |

The links show the part numbers (Light strip: 63319321262, LED module: 63319353133) you quoted are for LHD car I think but I'm guessing they are compatible with my UK RHD X1 too? |

No coding required to get it lighting up in orange. Did you test it out in the evening when its dark? I noticed it only comes on when it's dark. I did this mod over the weekend and really happy with it. Thanks to OP for this thread

Yeah, I tried at night and also measured for voltage but could not get any voltage readings. I also powered up the LED with a 9 volt battery to make sure it lights up and it did !
