Anyone had a test drrive for the 1.5 lts petrol engine. Would like a review and how the performance is. I Don't expect something fast but at least if it is drivable. Coming from e92 320 engine for sure it will be a downgrade but I hope it will not be that big difference. Car already ordered and hope I didn't do a mistake that I regret later but for tax purposes and huge price difference I was obliged to go for that engine.

It is the same engine as in my wifes Mini Cooper, the sound of the 3cilinder is great and it drives perfect in the little Cooper (7,8) to 100), but the X1 is heavier and higher and does 9,7 that is not so bad compared with my 18d (9,2) I think the engine Will do fine. The X1 is not a racecar

That is a bit relaxing
I was either going to spend the extra money on the engine and have the base model ( which is totally empty in greece) or on extra options to keep the price lower than euros 40k. Otherwise I will be taxed 14% more on the price of the car.....
Hopefully the car arrives in 2 weeks and will test drive it then....

Ask the dealer to test drive the Active Tourer which has the same engine... I drove it, and the engine was perfectly fine!! Enjoy the wait
