I just ordered a build and signed on my xDrive28i a couple days ago (really hoping there are no production delays). The options I chose are attached in a picture. I got it right at 6.1% below MSRP, paid $41,500 on a $44,195 MSRP, and I didn't haggle very much. I talked to 4 dealers in the Atlanta GA area, seems like dealer to dealer it was very different, there was one dealer even trying to charge OVER msrp due to market conditions. (bs if you ask me)

But for the most part seemed they were coming in around 4 - 6% below MSRP. I'm sure we'll start to see better discounts once the newness factor has worn off for this model, but decided I didn't want to wait

Nice car. I got white one for my wife as well. I looked at the specs of 2016 X1 and it beats X3 in almost every category from head rooms to leg rooms. I don't even see why anyone would want a X3 at this point once he sees the 2016 X1. 2016 X1 really cannibalizes the X3 sales until the next X3 generation.

The X3 is faster than the X1 if you get the 300 hp engine, and has better stock seats, so there's that. Some purists may prefer the X3 rear-biased AWD to the X1's front-biased AWD, too.

But for the most part I agree the X1 will almost certainly cannibalize X3 sales until the 2017 comes out. X1 has about 90% of the interior space, nicer & more modern interior, and only about 3/4 the price.

We ordered ours beginning of November. We did a build since finding the options and color we wanted was challenging, most dealers in the Bay Area at the time only had 2-3 in stock. It also seemed easier to get a better deal on an order then buying one in stock.
