Apologies, I didn't really investigate the front plate that closely. Unless BMW includes the ED plates when it's re-delivered in a week or two, or unless somebody else here saw how their own ED plate was attached, it will probably remain a mystery.

X-line makes it a SUV (which was more the idea with the new x1 i think)

M makes it a fat hatchback

I saw both versions in real life and they both look nice but very different.

We had a black sport on loan for a while, which I guess we got used to looking at. I just think the tacked on silver bits on the x line are a bit to trinkety for my taste. It is good we dont all like the same thing.

Looking great! I am jealous of your M steering wheel and the sport seats! I also prefer the look of the X-line over M Sports. Wish BMW offered the sport seats for X-line in the US.

Can you not order the sport seats as an option on the Xline in the US?
I got them here in Canada and I must say they are great. Love the thigh support for long drives. Truth be told the seat extensions are one of the main reasons I looked at this car in the first place. I find all other seat cushions too short for my legs and I'm not even that tall. Under 6 ft.

Totally get where you are coming from. Interestingly our second choice after the X1 would have been a 330d x drive wagon so I guess we have that mind set.
