Stainless steel accelerator cover fitted but brake pedal cover is a different shape/size from other BMWs (same as 2 Active Tourer) so need to rethink that one or modify it to fit.

I bought a set off Amazon (designed for the F30) but they don't fit my X1. About 4mm too long and can't squeeze into the door trim. |

Nothing really. I like them, even if they are a bit 'look at me' They were part of the package when I did the deal to buy the X1. The Logo seems to indicate depth (in clear water) better than the white. Maybe it is due to the two colour circles and cross overs. I have the white lights on my F20 and they glare on a wet surface. |

The black pipes look nice. Can I just ask: do the extensions fit over the existing chrome tips or have to remove the original tips first? Easy to fit?

A friend of mine who has a F20 had the same problem, He says that they are the same width so he fixed it by using a box cutter or utility knife to gentle trim out one end and fitted them that way. Only issue is that you cannot go back to the original standard white lights You would have to buy the F30 whites (E Bay) to change them back I have seen the ones on his F20 in operation. I cannot see any difference in the light quality or logo clarity. |

I managed to install them last night. Didn't want to make irreversible changes to the door trim so what I did was saw and file a small groove on one side of the light housing so the door trim could slot into it, allowing the housing to be pushed further in. That did the trick! |

My LED door sill light and 3rd party puddle lights installed - looks alright for a non-OEM product I think. Not sure how long it lasts looking nice and bright though.
