BMW X2 - Winter Tyres - HELP
Hi all,
First post and new to community. My wife has a 2018 BMW X2 2.0 S Drive. It drives less than 10 miles per week for her to commute to work and back. We have recently moved house to a more remote area, so I was looking to get a set of winter tyres for her. The car currently has the 20"M Sport alloys with Pirelli P-Zero (225/40R20) which I don't particularly rate. I can't seem to find any decent winter sets to fit those alloys, so if all else fails I thought to buy a set online - alloys and tyres - to keep in the garage and swap out between winter/summer. Would there be any specifics I would be looking at to make sure they fit the X2? Thanks in advance |

As an FYI - I have found a couple of sets but not sure if compatible:
Continental - 225/55/R16 - previously on F30 3 Series Dunlop - 225/60/R17 - previously on X3 Goodyear - 245/45/R18 - previously on 5 series Michellin - 225/55/R17 - previously on 5 series If anyone could let me know any thoughts if these could be fitted or any other advice it would be great.. |

If you're not going to run anything mounted on the 20" wheels for your winter setup I'd go with the base model setup for the X2 S-Drive, which is 18" wheels & 225/50/18 tires. Seems like there's an abundance of 18" OEM wheels for sale around the web (take-offs). For sure I'd try to stay 225 wide for snow/ice use purposes. You want to cut through the snow & ice for road contact/traction, not float over it. Obviously no issue with fitmentsif you go that route.
