Hi All, my first post on here and hoping you can advise me please? I am in the UK and have recently bought a 2018 X2 (F39) with lots of options on it but no CarPlay. It comes with ENTRYNAV2 - RoadMap EUROPE WAY - T2229C1R

Can I get carplay on this car without having to get MMI unit? If so, would Full Screen be possible as well?

It has these options on decoder

Having got ENTRYNAV2 and WAYS maps with a larger screen, I believe carplay can't be shown in the full screen. Could someone post a photo of what carplay looks like on the larger screen to help people decide whether they want to spend the extra and get an MMI box fitted which can display the full screen size.

You can see carplay fullscreen images on the first pages of this post. The fullscreen covers the whole screen.
Fullscreen depends on the firmware version, if yours is not supported you can update it and you should have carplay fullscreen.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I already have CarPlay, but just want to activate the full screen capability.

Which map version do you have? If you dont have supported firmware you can update the headunit and you should be able to get carplay fullscreen.

kubax86 I have a 2019 X1 with the 8.8” touchscreen is there any way for me to get fullscreen CarPlay. I’ve attached the image to show current software version etc. cheers.
