guys, another suggestion was to get a flat tyre kit. Wouldnt that be a cheaper option and would require less space. Just a thought from another forum

No good if you get a badly damaged tyre with a large cut or hole in it.

Here you go, this is the answer and cheap when you consider the implications of being stuck on the side of the road.

that looks really good. All in 1. The 18" version is £184 but I guess I should go that route rather than trying to fix a tyre myself. Thank mate

Just a thought, you don't necessarily need an 18" spare tire to match your wheels, as long as you keep the same aspect ratio. Of course, you need to consider the space for calipers, but you may be able to fit a 17" spare wheel.

Here is a link that explains that:

There was another option mentioned here in the forum time ago: https://modernspare.com/product/2016...e-kit-options/. But it's way more expensive

Hi all, I've got an xline 2017 x1 with 18" wheels.

Looking to change our run flats with non run flats when they wear out.. Has anyone tried this company?

As your in the UK why not just join AA and get a flat tyre kit with the goop. Chances of major damage are slim so goop usually suffices and AA is always handy for any other breakdowns, did you know AA cover is automatically transferred to any car your in even as a passenger.(is in Ireland anyway)

Most US members seems terrified to get stuck on the side of the road. In the US it's seems a dangerous situation depending on location you break down.

I have experience of this state side and it's a nightmare roads are way more dangerous than in Europe, hard shoulders not adequate and traffic levels huge. Got rear ended in Louisiana and between the traffic cop with the safety off and an attitude it was not an experience I want to ever repeat and I was with 3 others and a second driver and his family.

Here in UK, Ireland and Europe your more likely to have someone stop to help and waiting for AA is only a 15 minute ordeal. No guns, no bad roads, no huge traffic levels and no locations that are that dangerous.

I ordered my new 2021 xline with a spare wheel. The car runs 225/50 x 18. The space saver spare is 135/90 x 17
