Either check by HWEL with E-sys or take out headunit and confirm purple port(WLAN Port). Only then CarPlay can be done.

Car has loads of technology, Pack 1 & 2 and comfort package
Mine has the Full Apple Play. which is great as I use Waze maps.

I have a 2019 UK version X1.
Vin: 5n43770
head_unit: ENAVEVO

I removed the headunit and it appears that it doesn't have a Wifi port and also doesn't have a working Aux (don't think X1's have them anymore.)
Does that mean I cannot get Apple Car play or is it possible to have a retrofit kit installed. Any advice much appreciated.

Hi all,

our X1 (LCI from 2020) has no wifi or CarPlay installed. So a NBT Evo was installed, everything is fine and working with VIN coded and FSCs, Vehicle Order was applied.

Right now I recognized that ambient lighting is looking different in the menu. There is a new option "Ambientes Licht" with Classic/Sport (which was Pre-LCI), then there is a choice of 6 colours like before the change. These are working (green is green, white is white and so on) but like I said the menu is wrong (classic/sport) plus the colour icons are wrong (white colour has orange symbol, blue colour has white/grey?! icon)

Is there a chance to fix this?

Today installed Carplay on my 2019 F48 with nav: Road Map EUROPE Way 2018-4, J1846D1R even without wifi antenna.

Everything done by kubax86 (bimmer-remote.com) - super quick response, great communication, clear instructions. Process took ~30min and everything works like a charm. Hugely recommended, thank you kubax86 !

Your unit doesnt have WLAN port, not possible to get carpplay
