What to expect in the finance office - extras they will try to push

Hi there - going to go negotiate an X1 on Thursday. It's been about 5 years since I last leased a Bimmer. Just trying to get a handle on what to expect the finance manager to try and push on me, and whether any of it is worth it?

Thanks!

When I purchased my 2018 low mileage CPO in September, these are the add ons and prices that I was offered

Tire and Wheel: $1478
VSC (extended service contract to 5 years I believe): $2279
Pre Paid Maintenance: $2699
Cilajet” $1345 (paint protector)

They would gladly work this into your monthly payment.

I was not interested in any of these add ons, but there are some that find them worth while, usually those that want price certainty.

By price certainty, what I mean is that there are those that would rather pay an extra $50-100/month for the assurance that when a brake job comes, a wheel is bent, or a tire needs replacing, they have already paid for it and it is covered. There are others that choose to take their lumps as they come.

Since the OP is leasing, I wouldn't spend anything on all these extras and just drive it responsibly. They'll probably 'ding' you for any extra wear 'n tear when you turn it in anyways. *cough* tires *cough*

Turn down everything that has the word protection in it.
Turn down extended warranties, you can buy them later
If you have run flats, consider the tire warranty.
