What tires are you running?

I'm on the stock Continental ProContact SSRs (19s) and my oh my are they mediocre. They get very squirrel-y in the rain. On the dry, they aren't bad, but I wanted to see if there's anyone who's swapped to a proper summer setup and realized any difference in driveability. My feeling is that a set of PS4s will really help with handling, though this car isn't the best with transitions...

My car also came with the Conti Procontact SSRs (225/45/19). Find they make a loud roar on many road surfaces. Handling is pretty good, and they're not as rock hard as the earlier generation runflats that came with my E90 sedan.

But I'll probably change these to non-RFT when the time comes.

Mine came stock with pirelli p zero rft 225/45r19.
Its doing okay in dry, but don't ever try this tire in wet. Wheel spin galore in sport mode.

I will be putting snows on mine too, but I'm thinking about summer already. That said, not sure if I want to chance these in the snow. Has anyone driven the all season tire on these in the snow?

I'm on the ssr's and have found no issues..ie felt the same in heavy rain as dry. I'm going to chance it as the winter starts and if I need the winters I'll pull the trigger. I hope to run these out lower until next spring when I'll get new rims and not runflats..and convert the stocks for winter duty.

What rims are you looking at? I was thinking O.Z. Leggera HLTs in 19" with PS4s...then using current wheel for winter with LM60s

If you do that, pics are mandatory.

I'm not specifically looking for anything.. I go for looks more than performance now a days so I will not be shopping for forged wheels.. but something along the lines of low 20lbs per wheel. With the misano blue I'm on the verge of going bronze wheels.. But always defer to black or gunmetal multi type spoke. If I can get a little concave it would also be awesome. My last couple sets on my other BMWs have been Miro 111 and Avant garde m359.

Oh you're misano blue, too? I'm on an oyster interior. I'm tempted (given my steep discount) to sell the car back to the dealer and pick up another Misano Blue but with hexagon trim and the HK. I opted not to order a car to help my buddy at the dealer but I'm beating myself up over not having HK or hexagon...I personally think there's too much black gloss

It'll be a pricey setup but if I pull the trigger, pictures we'll ensue. It should bump performance, too...stickier rubber + lighter wheels

Concave wheels would definetely improve the looks!

Why do new BMWs tend to have narrow wheel track widths? Makes the cars look anemic.

I suppose lower cost, better handling, better mileage (less wind resistance), better acceleration.

Stock came with Bridgestone S001 225/45/19 RFT, with the M-Sport suspension I found it awful on ride quality, lots of potholes where I live and it is not safe in wet, so I changed to PS4s non RFT with the same size, surprising results with these tires, acceptable ride and excellent on both dry and wet now.
