Spent 160 miles in car today and fiddled with settings.
Comfort mode set to Orange Level 3 seems right. Anything more is too twitchy. With same setting in Sport, perfect, feels like 40 more HP on butt dyno. |

Does Orange Level 3 mean the square light (Stage Indicator) is orange and then you press the + button until 3 of the 6 status lights illuminate?
I guess it remembers different status for each stage indicator? Can you make these changes with the engine running?

Everything can be done on the fly, I like doing it while moving, it will give you a great example of how much extra is applied.

All settings are saved.
Green, Orange, and Red are stages. Plus 3 on orange means max lights to the right. Each stage has 0 no light 1 light plus or minus 2 light plus or minus 3 light plus or minus |

So the only problem I see is that if whatever mode you think is good for comfort, the minute you flip to sport you have to dial down the sensitivity? I am still on the fence for this.. I really hope that BMS makes an intake first, which I totally want first for the big kid inside me.

My setting doesn’t make sport too much crazier. I don’t touch mine at all.

Received it yesterday and hope to install it on the weekend. Do both the plug and socket fit into the accelerator pedal 'cavity' or will they be exposed on the side of the accelerator?
Is the initial calibration done with engine off but ignition on? And when calibrating I guess you push the accelerator all the way (past the kickdown pressure point)? Sorry for all the questions, but thanks again everyone for the ongoing tips! The install instructions/video on BMS site are not very comprehensive.... I'm just hoping it will help with pedal responsiveness. Again this morning had the loooong lag when powering to overtake someone on light/med throttle. I can see the tacho needle jump to around 4000rpm, then the engine revs seem to pick up after a split second, and finally the gear changes and you get some acceleration. Very embarrassing.

has anyone had to cut a notch in the base of the pedal assembly to allow the new cable to go through? I noticed that the cable is being squashed by the pedal base.
Have been testing mine on orange -2. Definitely gives a sharper feel to acceleration off the mark.

Hi strippedz
I got it from Autoinstruct. Aus based web only store. The price was less than I could find from BMS directly, or any other US store (once you factor in the crazy shipping price) I think it came to AUD280 or so incl postage cheers

Definetely makes a difference off the line. I normally drive in "sport" mode so it's sharper than it was before.
hasn't completely cured this problem I have sometimes when I come off a longish period of constant speed, and then need to accelerate quickly. There's still annoying delay, but perhaps less than it was. There's still a 'hole' when I accelerate hard from a slow speed. Not sure if it's turbo lag or a slight error in gearbox change. It happens even with traction control off.. But yes, I reckon it's worth trying this pedal tuner. Let me know how you go with install given our cars are the RHD. At the moment I have the cable running along the edge of my floor mat back towards the driver seat and then I leave the control unit on the floor under the seat. There's just enough slack to lift the unit and make adjustments. But I don't like the cable almost touching the pedal. It might be cleaner to run the cable upward from the accelerator and attach it under the steering column area and then attach the control unit somewhere near the drive experience switch... I'll try that one day when the temp in my Canberra garage is not 5c cheers

COuld someone who's installed the BMS pedal tuner please clarify whether both plug connectors should be hidden under the pedal assembly after fitting?
After I installed mine, plug connector is next to the pedal assembly, which looks messy and also I feel it could get water/mud on it from my shoes... The BMS install video doesn't make it clear. At one point I can see the plug sitting outside the pedal assembly, but then later it looks like it could be under the assembly? thank you
