I could use a little more grunt. Apparently there is a JB for the B46 motor but it's since disappeared from the website (was a Mini implementation).

If anyone is looking to be a bit of a test mule on the B46/48 X1 chassis we are in need of a car to do some fit checking on. While we have confirmed fitment on the MINI side of things we want to play it safe and make sure there are no surprises on the BMW side of it (there shouldn't be). If interested send me a PM.

Its a box. Basically a much simpler version of our DINANTRONICS module (http://www.dinancars.com/product/d44...ries&mid=1224/).

Will it work for diesels?..... And where would it plug into? Various sensors or just one? I like to know that various parameters are being looked at rather than just boost or fuel for example

Not for diesels. Its a single connector plugin similar to a BMS stage 1 (although it has more features). If you are looking for something that controls more then that you would want to go with a flash tune or the full fledged DINANTRONICS when that becomes available for the B48/46 engine.

Would love to however this is the wife's car.. if something goes wrong it won't be Dinan that gets the worst of it

Looking forward to the final product though. My preference is to go with a Dinan tune.

Understood. I believe we have found a local car however so hopefully we can confirm viability in the very near future and offer it.

Appreciate the use of the car. Hope you enjoy romping on it this weekend. =)

Product will be live next week. Got some back end logistics to do before it is officially launched but everything works just as intended like on the MINI applications with the same motor (Cooper S).

Will this be a "Sport" product or will it be the higher end version that has the matching factory warranty? Any specs?

Thanks @Dinan_Engineering for the opportunity!

They were not able to dyno the car since a awd dyno wan't available. But torque gains are super noticeable! I'm pretty sure it's the same output as the Mini...

As shown above the tune in question is the SPORT variant. The full DINANTRONICS Elite unit is still in development for the B series engines but will make an appearance at some point.

Specs would be the same as the link provided above for the MINI Cooper S with max gains in the Sport+ setting of about 30 HP and 40 lb-ft of TRQ.

While we did not have time to do a full on dyno test by sending it to an AWD dyno or disconnecting the drive shaft and running it as a 2WD vehicle in house all the data logged indicated it was running identically to the B48 in the MINI both prior to the tune as well as after the tune was installed. This was expected but always better to be safe then sorry.
