Scanner
Have ordered a FOXWELL 680 Pro. Any one else have one?
Had the Ross-Tech cable and software for my Tiguan and it proved useful.

No, but I did recently get an Autel MX808 via fcpeuro. I've tried other scanners, plus a few Foxwell ones (not your particular model though), and none could place the electronic parking brake into service mode except this Autel. Obviously not a concern if your car doesnt have an EPB. Also, you can manually wind back the parking brake by removing the actuator motor, but preferred to do it electronically.
It's a bit pricey but pays for itself considering the money saved to DIY a BMW rear brake pads and rotors job. Any additional uses is just gravy. Plus, I can use it for some basic to intermediate diagnostics on the various other cars I work on. |
