Shuffle Play Songs on USB Drive

I went in for service and they updated the firmware in the car. Before that, I was shuffle playing all the songs across all albums on my USB drive that I leave plugged into the USB port. Afterwards now, it shuffles only the songs on one album.

Does anyone know how to get back shuffle play on the whole USB drive? I already checked that "Shuffle" is turned on and went into "Search" and selected "Folder", but it only goes into one album sub-folder.

This happened with mine but not because of an update. I reformatted the usb stick and reloaded the songs adding some more. I put the stick back in the car and selected shuffle. Its ok now. I use Itunes to store cd’s and transfer songs. Have selected shuffle folder or shuffle songs.

Just been and had a play with mine. Try selecting tracks first then go back and tick shuffle.

Methinks the X1 firmware ugrade has changed the way stereo system works. I cannot select just the root folder to shuffle ... I have to select an album sub-folder. I ended up creating a playlist with all the songs and I can shuffle the playlist.

Another change is that I cannot turn off the stereo system at all. When I push the volume knob, it doesn't turn off anymore ... it just mutes and playback is paused.
