They just released a carbon fiber intake for x1/2. If enough of us m35i owners ask maybe we can get one too. Looks like they just need to unscrew the output side and fit one with our maf mount.

It's a shade expensive.. but I do like that CF open box......Although it's Faux CF covered injection plastic (still very pretty)

So they are afraid that the injection moulded box won't transfer over? I can always take a double check between the X1 and X2 again. I might just stick with the custom filter and MAF holder I have though. Heck I can actually see myself hacking the stock lid to be exactly like the Dinan one.. just don't want to cut up the brand new lid.. har har. I actually considered doing that exact thing with the stock box but didn't have a spare (thinking of old school mitsubishi tuning where you cut up the metal intake box similar to that)

Honestly speaking.. if I could get a hold of Terry at BMS or someone who actually cares.. I'm 99.9% sure you can order the BMS filter for the X1 but literally just need the slot MAF that is found on the other 3 series. If you saw my other threads I did find someone who ordered one for his X2 and accidentally got the slotted MAF...

Ive been bugging Dinan since I got my car 3 months ago. They said that the X2M35i is on their list, but it’s way down there. We are lucky that the new M235i Gran Coupe and the soon to be released M135i are going to share the same B48 as us. That should open up the market more and push Dinan towards development. I believe that my car was the first one listed for development when they decide to start. We shall see.
