Hi all,

Wanted to start an East coast tracking page for those who missed the Sunrise and Condor ships and are still either waiting to go to port or at port. Seems the 38-41 thread doesn’t host too many people that haven’t left the port yet- so here’s the support thread for those that are interested in following.

My RFT date was 10/31. Any ships for me to be keeping an eye out for that are heading to brunswick and up the east?

I think Toronto might be going to Brunswick soon. Mine went to ready for transport 11/12, week 45 production.

I thought the G42 was built in Mexico and transported by train to the US. They use ships as well?

It is built in Mexico but they come to the US via ship.

So mine was assembled in Germany. The rep told me Cars are in Germany all SUV are in Mexico and hybrids are in the US.

Only west coast people will get any use of train. East coast gets boat to truck

I’m pretty sure all g42s are built are assembled in Mexico mine went ready for transport 11/ 1 Tampa Bay Area

All new 2 series including new m2 are assembled in mexico your rep is confused and misinformed u,and dont worry u are not the first guy on here to be told that lol

So last week when i called BMW to get the boat so i can track it they did say it left Germany and will arrive here yesterday which it did. maybe they switched around production sites?

Whoever told you that is full of it.
G42s are made in Mexico. Your ship never went near Europe.

Man that's messssed up lol. When i called them up they said it was at the port in Germany and leaving. i guess this rep doesn't know squat they need to be trained better.

I was reading in another forum someone had a rep telling them about a car w a different vin/phone number attached to it. All 2 and 3 models are built in San Luis Potosí since apparently US is the biggest market for these cars?

All 3 series are not made in Mexico.
US is not the largest market for 3 series.
The reason for the 2 being built in Mexico is not just down to the US market. If it was, the plant would be in the US.
