My dealer said September for the new E92 and he said he heard that last week from the VP of BMW Sales for the US. He has being working in chicago for 15 years. But said nothing about the 335i.

How sure are you about this 335i in the states? and what would be the other engines available? Also is it production in september and in your drive way in november or In my driveway in september?

I wonder at what cost though? I'm sure the 335i sedan is going to dictate a higher price, someone mentioned $2K additional.

$2K wouldn't be that bad, I'll simply remove one of my options. Who needs real leather seats anyways?

I guess I'll wait then. I'll be kicking myself if the 335i doesn't come out by the end of this year though.

This was from another thread today 2-14-06. It could just be the dealer trying to sell the cars they have and wont talk about future cars.

I agree with you on that. Shared similar experience when I was buying my HD DLP. Store manager would make up this whole story how the next generation model isn't coming for a yr and I should just buy the set today. Sure enough, the next generation was release a month later. Maybe he really didn't know, but I wouldn't trust them on it. That why we have forums to get the inside scoop!

Yes it will be a drag if the cars arent ready by early October, I am going to wait it out at least until summer to get more clarification. I dont want to buy a 330i now and feel cheated if the 335i comes out this year.

Only problem with the waiting are the negative affects the residual and money factor has. As the months pass, these variables will go against you if are you leasing the vehicle; which I am. This may make it very costly to get into the 335i, where you wished you stayed w/ the 330i in the first place. What to do!
