RENNTech C63 non-S Stage 1 - 602 HP and 595 ft/lb torque

EDIT: Recently learned that this may not be the S model

Found this on the web.....things are getting interesting. Not sure how you would put that much power down but it is indeed impressive for a simple stage 1 ECU tune.

Im really excited for the car. In reviews they say the C63S puts down its power better than the M3. 600hp is a lot so its going to be interesting. Im definitely going to be tuning mine. I am going with Weistec though. Their power output for stage one will probably be the same as Renntech. They are local to me though. They have already started developing upgraded turbos and downpipes. I don't know if I'm going to do the upgraded turbos.

Damn those things can make power! I think that I can safely say that those new c63s's will be faster than the f80/f82s on the street/highway. It's weight will definitely show on the road course though where I believe the more balanced f80/f82 will have an edge

Am I reading that right? You're at 500 ft/lb torque at about 2000 RPMs?

I agree. Weistec stage one will be the same. With this type of power, is there even a need for stage two. BTW, that beat reminds me of some old school Dr. Dre / Boyz in the hood stuff.

Had I know tuning was so accesible with Mercedes and I didn't need to get a csr in january I would have gone c63

However, it doesn't seem it's putting out that much stock power. This graph is engine power and it's 500 bhp. Isn't a stock m3 putting out 500 bhp? 420 at wheels is near 500 bhp.

So perhaps not impressive

No surprise when your base is a 4 liter TT V8. The tuning potential is naturally closer to the M5's engine than the M3's. BMW rolled the dice when they selected a skimpy 3 liter engine. I think the S55 has more than enough power but we'll see how this will play out in general. 600 hp with a simple tune in a German luxury car will likely be hard to resist for many. If the car looked better I think it would have been a very ,very serious threat. Let's see if it can overcome it, I'm honestly not sure how it will play out in terms of market share. I just know the car is too heavy and too ugly for me personally.

That's how it's always been but the M3/M4 will still be more fun/engaging then the c63

1000 Nm/738 ft-lbs. The MCT transmission has a higher torque rating than the DCT in the AMG GT (725 Nm/535 ft-lbs), which is why tuners are producing significantly more torque with the W205 C63 than the GT.

Are you sure about this? Are there any dynos showing the M3 at 500 BHP?

Awe that makes sense.. so there is still some room left to grow to 738ft-lbs.

actually... the new c63S is awd as far as i know so it should actually put down power better than the m3/m4 in straight line acceleration

EDIT: not true, the c63 will not be awd

Nope.

CEngPW = Crank Engine Power
CEngTq = Crank Engine Torque
