Bagged an allocation (UK) - Offers on MPerformance Parts

I managed to bypass the waiting list due to a cancellation that my local BMW dealer had (called me because I was placing an order on an M4).....

They have sent my spec to the factory ready for delivery in December. Should be fun.

I currently have an A6 Avant Black Edn, Golf R and Mini GP2.

My spec is:

Alpine White
Sun protection package
M DCT (really difficult decision because I always have manual in my drivers cars) however loved the M DCT in the M4 GTP I raced.
Through loading
Heated seats
Loudspeaker advanced

I read on here a while back about Coopers BMW having offers on M Performance parts. I actually still have the offers in a PDF. Are they stil doing that?

How is the rear spoiler fitted? Do you need to unglue the old one off?

Thanks.

Congrats, Coopers have offers from time to time, best check on them here, Phil is on quite a bit.

Yes the rear mini spoiler will need to come off with fishing wire, hairdryer etc.

Great thanks. So I can do it rather than paying my dealer its hourly rate to do it. Thanks.

M Perf kit is everyone's own cup of tea but I think it's all pretty damn nice except the front and rear fin things.

Looks odd to me and very expensive.

Keep us updated on how you get on. I cancelled and passed on an order due last week and took the M50D X5 truck, seriously itching for a second car 6MT M2 mmmm mmmm.

Yes, looking at the grills and maybe the spoiler. I'd also love a nice alcantara wheel!

I've not seen an M2 in the flesh yet. How low does it sit (you can't tell from photos).

Love the M50D. I was also looking at one of those.

I've only seen one, MG with all the MPerf kit of a launch car.

It looked excellent. Wheel stance and fitment looked spot on to me. My M4 looked a tad too high. If my M2 was a DD I'd keep the height it stock.

You're in for a treat I reckon!

Welcome Chris! I have a Mini GP1 so have seen your posts (unless there is another chap with those 3 exact cars!) on the GP Facebook Group but I'm not on there that often.

I suspect it's too far from Staffs for a morning out but I think, weather permitting I might take the M2 down to the Hot Hatch (I know) Goodwood Breakfast club at the weekend, if you are there then shout!

Just paid my deposit and secure a car for late Dec/Jan:

Manual Transmission
Sun Protection Pack
Visibility Pack
H&K
Exterior mirrors folding
Lumbar support
Thru-loading system
Seat heating
Reverse Assistant camera

Service pack (Free)
M-perf grills + side grills (Free)

Any ideas if we need enhanced Bluetooth for Apple car play? As I could spec without it. Then dealer said I may need it because of CarPlay. Kinda daft if you need it then download it separately. Pretty poor design or some easy money making scheme from BMW.

I've decided against eleccy seats.. taken the risk as I test drove one with it. But read from here manual seats are lower thus feeling sportier.

I'll be looking to transfer my race mp wheel over the m2 from my dct m3. And probably get the mp exhaust and cf exterior bits....

Sounds like a great spec. Not sure about Apple car play. I've read it's not worth it at the moment.

Good negotiation. My dealer won't budge on anything thrown in!

Golf R is a capable tool that is rapid however is very numb compared to the GP2 which I would put in the same category as an Elise... a proper drivers car.

Hi,

You paid a deposit just now and you got a delivery for THIS December/Jan??
Wow, if so that's awesome, I paid my deposit a year ago and still not a peep..

Your spec looks similar to mine too!

Cheers
