A 1000+ hp Taycan to be introduced soon.
The prototype has recently been sighted on the Nurburgring. The top Taycan will be directly competing with Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire.

This. This is the daily driver. Plaid fast, but not dogshit plaid interior, handling and build quality.
I now want one

Forgot to add that Porsche also plans a facelift for the 2024 model Taycan.

With how expensive taycan turbo s, that taycan plaid will easily be 200k+.
Model s plaid remains the better bang for buck, with a better network. Again Tesla is too far ahead of everyone. |

Have you driven a Taycan? It feels like a sports car. The model S does not. The interior on the Tesla is also that of a $30k pile of trash.

Yes, it will have similar drivetrain power. No, they are not very similar cars. Yes, the Porsche will cost more. There is a reason for the price difference. Toyota is better bang for the buck than a Ferrari too, while we are on the subject. |

No reason you can't have both. My neighbor has a Taycan and a manual 992 S. Seems like a decent combo. |

When people are buying these hyper ev’s, they don’t buy them for track times. Of course the Porsche interior is nicer, that’s where the higher premium comes into play. In terms of usage, network, and insane acceleration, the plaid’s are still undefeated. Don’t worry, car makers will catch up. But it’ll take about a decade. |

In 2021: Porsche sold 9414 taycans Tesla sold 11,555 model S Given the price delta between the two, that's some pretty close competition. |

People who buy these hyper ev’s in America aren’t shipping them to the ring for bragging rights. The taycan is dog shit slow in comparison to the model s plaid. And cheaper too. With a better network. Again car makers will catch up I believe but Tesla is still the front runner in this technology. |

One drives and feels like a Porsche. One feels like a stupidly fast gimmicky cheap plastic appliance on wheels. Apples and oranges.

That's adorable. I can't imagine having an allegiance or paying homage to a corporate entity that doesn't give a fuck about me. Sure there is preference, but then there is also this... I don't even know what to call it. Zealotry? Why is this so prevalent in modern times? So many people get so defensive of (insert brand here). Is it to cope and justify their position?

And top fuel dragster makes a plaid look slow as donky shit, doing 0-60 in less than half a second, eclipsing 60 in less than 20' from launch, so it's clearly a better car to buy and drive. Example at time 1:50: [/sarcasam] Quote:

Model s plaid does it in 4.x seconds. Porsche will catch up I’m sure. But it’ll be double the price of the other plaid. |
