key fob not working
After 35 months of ownership, the key has stopped working/respondng to the start button.
I would assume that it's the key fob battery. Has anybody replaced that? Does BMW service do that or do you guys think that they will just want to charge me with a replacement key? |

Also, you can still start the car even if the key battery is dead using this procedure. This might help you to check if it is just a dead key battery, or something more serious. My first check would be to replace the battery with a new one though...

Thanks Clive! I did try though to start the engine by bringing the key close to the steering column but it did not work.
