X1 aftermarket wheels, max size?

Hi

I'm not happy with my current set of wheels, 225/50/18 and 7.5J width.
Does anyone know how big and wide I could go, I dont want to go too low on the profile lowest prefereably 45 or even stick to 50. Has anyone got aftermarket wheels on their x1 if yes what sort of sizes have you gone for?

Thanking you all in advance

Hi there!

Search the forum; there are plenty of threads discussing it, like this one with tons of photos and info: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1685028

You can go up to 20", but the side will be 35. My recommendation is to stick to 19". I put 19x8.5" et42 wheels with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 255/40r19, and it's great. However, if I had to do it all over again, I would probably stick with 245.

I have 19" Niche aftermarket wheels on 245s and I agree. They are sport tires for the summer. I have 4 winters on the original wheels which are 18".
