Question on Minor Body Work
Had a slight fender bender earlier today. Seems like not too much was damaged besides the grill. Going to take a look at it again later to see if I could see anything I missed.
Anyway if it's just a grill, do you think that's an easy DIY? or would you suggest bringing it in to a body shop. Also anyone have good trusted body shops in the NYC area they would recommend? I used to go to someone out in Long Island but they retired a few years back and I haven't needed to find one since. |

as an update in case anyone has to do this in the future. just did it this weekend. the 2018 x1 has some weather proofing rubber on the left and right of the grill so its a bit hard to reach the clips but otherwise wasn't too bad. probably took 20 minutes to take off and 20 seconds to clip the new one back on. definitely would not be able to reach through the grill opening to undo the top clips, the only way to access those is to unscrew the bumper.
