Front Wiper Blades

Has anyone had any luck figuring out which (if any) common brands (Rain-x, Bosch, etc) fit the X2? I'm thrown by the fact that no one, not even our dealer apparently, stocks them. I've found them online from a 3rd party BMW parts site, but are they really that "special"..?

I've bought and fitted a set of Bosch and still appear to be fine 6 months later.

Can we assume all X2 models use the same wipers?

Both are Bosch but are one number different.... strange. Since that seems to be the only option aside from OEM, I wonder if that's what BMW is using. The OEM part number is listed in "Associated part numbers."

Anyway, I ended up buying OEM at $44/pair on Amazon. I would never have guessed this would be such a mystery

Another option is to replace just the wiper itself, i.e. the "rubber". The end caps can be unhooked, and the stainless steel blades slipped off and reused. If you take that route, then buying a similar length Bosch blade at Walmart to take apart is all that's needed.

This is somethimes the only option for rear wipers. The complete wipers have very specific moldings and just aren't sold anywhere, or are just as impossible to find. I've had to so this for our Ford Escape, for instance.

OTOH, yeah, these are BMWs and I guess we should just suck it up and buy the OEM and stop complaining

Funny thing is, only the rear was widely available in a variety of brands that I found. 🤷
