Fuel door lock

Every time I lock or unlock the X2 with the fob, a really distinctive CLACK comes from the back, which I just realized is coming from the fuel door mechanism. Does everyone's do this?

I went to the passenger side tonight after hitting home Depot and it was pretty loud from that fuel door..

I thought it was the tailgate until I walked around pressing the fob. Thanks I guess it's normal-ish.

So that's what that noise is. LOL. Doesn't anybody test these things?

All the cars have made noise.. Not sure why this is a little noisier. Honestly since I'm always coming at it from the drivers side I never noticed it. My E60 will occasionally squeak as it's unlocking but it's really an 11 year old car so the rubber is probably just a bit dry.

Ive not noticed any loud noises as you describe.
Just a really fient whirring sound.
