Wheel spin

I am suffering from a lot of wheel spin on my X1 2.0i sDrive. I have to be very careful to drive off without wheel spin.

I have Goodyear Eagle 225 /55 R17 allweather run flats fitted. Tyre pressures are spot on at recommended pressure of 2.2bar.

Does anybody encounter the same issue? Any ideas how to resolve (apart from new tyres)?

I have an S drive with Goodyear Eagle Sport run flats on 18 inch rims. Can’t honestly say that the I like the tire, as they can be loud on some surfaces while staying whisper quiet on others. I do not have any problems with wheel spin or with torque steer, however. They are labeled 400 A A for treadwear, traction, and temperature. Probably time for new tires

You might be able to just get them rotated if you haven’t done that recently. Probably have a lot more wear on the fronts than the rears.

Goodyear Eagle LS2 or Eagle Sport? Honestly neither is a very good tire. You'll likely experience much better traction from a Michelin MXM4 ZP or Pirelli P7 All Season RFT.

BMW needs to smarten up and stop approving Goodyear. The problem is they simply want to keep production lines moving and buy tires for the lowest price in the category their engineers approve for the vehicle.

Main reason I just bought an X Drive, my previous car was a nightmare for this (Skoda Octavia VRS). Tyres make a difference but only small, it's just physics I'm afraid.
