Just installed the BMS JB4 today, nothing crazy but definitely a noticeable difference especially on Map 2. Up top you'll really notice. Install was pretty easy, cant go by the instructions though because these cars are more like MINIs under the hood. Ill also be receiving the BMS intake soon so well see how the car feels after that as well. Planning on doing 3 dyno pulls, Map 0-2 to see the difference.

I know you get all the DINAN modes (well I think); at least they were available on the N54/N55 and could do autotune for different gas etc which was pretty sweet. think DINAN does this. But, if it is just a mild tune vs mild tune; both being noticeable; whats your thoughts? I just picked up a 2017 X1 with M Sport Package, and I am coming from a tuned 335. I like the new car a lot; but i need some extra kick in the pants. Thanks!

So has anyone installed the Dinan Tune yet? looks even easier than the BMW Stage 1 tune I had on my 328. Looks pretty slick with the Bluetooth app, and gains are on par with, if not greater than the old BMS Stage 1 tune.
I had issues removing the clips to install and remove the BMW tune, even had a couple break on me, wondering if this is easier and if the clips work better on the Dinan module.

I'd say JB4 all the way. I've been a big fan of their products and they give the best bang for the buck.

Yeah I'm torn between JB4 and Dinan too. Coming from a 335d, I'm starting to miss some grunt. I'm looking to add a little more pep to my daily commute and I only run 91 octane. Probably the Dinan would do?

I bought a JB4 for my m240i and it's well worth the investment for that car, but I'm not buying a second one just for the X1 - does anyone know if there's a JB+ to compete with the Dinan Sport coming for our engine?

Anyone have any updates with either or something different? I'm enjoying the JB4 with the BMS intake but now I'm getting used to it lol. Ordered the add on flex fuel harness for the JB4 a while ago. Have been debating putting it on or not, with the FF harness you can run up to a 30% mix of E85 with the rest pump 93. Well see, my cars a lease so I'm cautious to do the more involved things.

For the F48 X1, the TMAP sensor is underneath the intake snorkels. The one in your pix is the MAP sensor. The Motor Code for the F48 X1 is B46/48. Not N20. Make sure you have the right JB+

For what it’s worth, I had a JB+ on my MINI, and I loved it, but I feel the Dinantronics Sport gives me a little more options, plus the Bluetooth app is super easy to change the “tune” or boost of the turbo from Valet, to Stock, Sport, Sport+ and even race mode with the push of a button. Also being able to see a “gauge” to monitor boost is pretty cool if nothing else
