How to activate horn once when locking X2

Currently i lock my car and no sound occurs, this us useful when on a large supermarket in order to find your car, how do i turn on this function?

I know it's either one of the two since I was just playing with that a few weeks ago.

Vehicle settings > Door/Key Lock > sound for lock/unlock

OR

I coded it in from the Bimmer Code app. (requires an OBD adapter and paid app)


If you're having issues locating your car there is the BMW app which you can pair up with your phone to help locate your car. It has GPS, remote lock/unlock/horn/headlight flasher/climate control (no AC just fan) available on there. I have these features added free as part of my purchase of the car.

So its safe to code the x2 with bimmercode, its been tested and all ok?

I personally have done it... as have several other people on these forums.

I wish there was more available options but that's until someone finds a way to decode everything but doubt that'll be any time soon.
