Tire Rack's heat cycling service
I'm going to take the plunge and order Michelin PSC2 tires from Tire Rack and get them installed this weekend. They offer a heat cycling service for $15/tire. Is this something I should get done?
I talked to some guys at the track last weekend and they said you can just get them installed and then take it easy for your first track session -- no need to pay for heat cycling. These will be used on the street but not very much, FWIW.

I got my 16 R1's heat cycled at the tire rack
Yes, you can run them for a session but then they have to go off the car for 24h... unless you have many sets of wheels and a trailer I don't think it's a practical solution |

Right only do it with nt01s or better and woukd suggest it being done then in that case, as doing it yourself isn't consistent heat throughout and a pain

I just heat cycle them on the street at least a day before. Won't claim that's a great solution but you should heat cycle R-comps. Especially ones with lower tread wear numbers.
