I seem similar post somewhere that people have cracked memory buttons.

Car is nearly 4 years old. Mostly park in carpark so hardly have any sun exposure.

Check yours and see if you have any?

Ours did it when it was 6 months old, was replaced under warranty, has been over 3 years now with no problem

I have same problem on my F48, handbrake button cracked. Car is almost 4 years old also.
