X2 M35i service interval?
Have the car just over 6 months and the iDrive is telling me to make appointment for oil change in 1200 miles, this would put me at oil change at 7500 miles. I thought factory is 1 yr or 10k miles. I also read somewhere the computer will shift the mileage limit for oil change depending on driving style, is that true? Does that mean Im driving the car too hard?
I know true M car gets service at 5k miles, so maybe the half M is every 7.5k miles? When did all the M35i drivers here got their 1st oil change notice from iDrive system? Thanks! |

I believe the algorithm is based on time and usage patterns. At least the planned maintenance is free!
