Anyone getting a knocking sound on cold start coming from the right side of the engine compartment in the area of the belt drive. Bmw could not figure out the noise and said it was an engine characteristic. Don’t buy that. It sounds like a pulley tensioner or the vibration damper. The noise a is knocking sound when cold and engine on low rpm. If you turn fan or ac on noise goes away because of higher rpm . Any help
