Backup camera

Does anyone know how to get the guidance lines to show on the rear camera? I can't find a setting anywhere in iDrive.

Thanks.

By default it is on. However when backing up, put foot on brake and in menu left you can modify settings. You can also Bimmercode this.

It varies by the way your vehicle is equipped. The owners manual or "my garage" on the bmwusa site has details on how to activate.

Thanks for the suggestions. Must have missed it in the manual.

On mine it was defaulted to off, but as xcelir8 says above, you activate the rear camera by reversing, and then use your mouse to the left menu and select it from there. I think you can also activate/deactivate the rear camera zoom function if you need to...something to do with towbar IIRC...

cheers
