Here's a direct link to the MarineTraffic map of the BMW dock at Bremerhaven (assuming it's still in the same location indicated in the stick post):
https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...409241/zoom:15 Two vehicle carriers docked as of this moment. Hoping for a quick turnaround once our train arrives! |

Fair winds and following seas!
Not sure about you guys, but according to BMWNA Customer Relations, I am on the Toledo. It's a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship.
Voyage number CD845-TDO IMO number 9293624 She's due in to Baltimore on 23 Nov, and Port Hueneme on 7 Dec. In case you're curious, this info is available on the WW website: Online Tools -> Schedules -> By Voyage. Screenshot attached. |

rudling - you must've gotten lucky with that ship assignment! Genius just told me mine is still at port without a carrier assigned. He confirmed it arrived at port on the 6th, and said it should be on it's way sometime next week.
We shall see. |

Updating here instead of piling on to Mach550's thread. My ship, as well at it appears some others, seem to be slowing down coming across the Atlantic, perhaps due to ports being busy from holiday cargo.
Orion Highway originally due to Brunswick on the 25th, just arrived in Baltimore last night (11/29). Day and a half there, then on to Brunswick for a new scheduled arrival of 12/1. In a sense I'm kind of relieved now I didn't push PCD hard for an earlier date. Still plenty of time to arrive, go through VPC, and get up to the PCD for my January delivery! |

Been interesting watching my ship the past couple days.
It was anchored out in the Chesapeake Bay/Baltimore harbor for a while, I assume waiting for a berth. It then docked at a pier in Baltimore that appeared to be near the Mercedes VPC. Then was underway for about an hour being nudged about by tugs, until it docked again at another pier perhaps a quarter mile south - dropping off to another VPC (big lot and building on satellite, I couldn't figure out what make). Tonight it has made its way across the harbor to a berth in Dundalk, dropping more off. But this dock seemed to be more about heavy machinery and tractors. Itinerary shows her leaving the Baltimore area tomorrow morning, arriving at Brunswick on Monday for what appears to be a same day turn - when my car will be rolled off! |

Arrived in Brunswick on Monday 12/4. Tuesday morning, BMW tracking had reverted to "At the Port" as others have described.
CA said it would take a few days at customs/VPC. As of this morning, I'm showing "in transit" again. Does this mean I'm on a truck or something on the way to the Performance Center already? I'm not scheduled for PCD until January 11, so I'm curious where the car will sit for the next month until I go pick it up. Also, it is a not small test of my will to not ask them to just reroute to my dealer so I can be driving the thing next week! |

Hope everyone had a great Christmas or other holiday of your choice. Or...first half of the week.
My CA reported over the weekend that my car has arrived at the Performance Center and will just be parked in a holding lot there until they prep it for delivery day. Website still shows it as "At the Port"...but whatever. PCD team has sent a couple emails for me and Mrs. Lee to do some online registration (name, DOB, drivers license #) and ask for the travel form. Easy stuff. We're hoping to spend a couple days after delivery hanging around Asheville and driving around before heading home, so keep your fingers crossed for a warm snap and dry roads for us! |

It's Finally Here!
Had an awesome PCD experience yesterday. You guys weren't lying about how great the experience and people there are. Also got what they said was a special factory tour where we went and visited an X3 body shop rather than the assembly hall - lots of robots and welding and super cool to see.
And of course, the highlight of the day: There was also a guy picking up an Azurite Black M5 which looked amazing. My M550 and it's juiced-up brother spent some time parked next to each other out front while we were doing the off road bit. More photos, etc. to come! So far the car is everything I hoped it would be an then some! |

I had been looking at a configuration that included ZPP Premium Package and now I'm seeing a bunch of inventory that has ZP2 "Premium Package 2" listed. I don't see ZP2 on the ordering guide or pricing guide that I had downloaded at some point a couple weeks ago. Do you know what the differences are?

This guy was excited for his new M550ix. Play by play for months! Congrats, I just bought one with nearly the same packages on Monday.

*5DN Parking Assistant Plus 610 Heads up display 6NW Wireless Charging 6U8 Gesture Control ZEB Enhanced USB/Bluetooth *ZX1 Active Park Distance Control *ZX3 Surround View w/3D View The ones I marked with an * are also the individual components of ZPK Parking Assistance Package, so essentially if you got ZPP, you were getting ZPK plus the other four (610/6NW/6U8/ZEB). My understanding is at some point in late 2018, there was a supply shortage of the stuff that made up 5DN. So BMW's solution was to eliminate ZPP as an option and instead create ZP2, which was ONLY the four non-parking components (610/6NW/6U8/ZEB). The idea was that they wouldn't waste 5DN parts on people who were ordering ZPP just for those four components, and who actually didn't care about the parking assist stuff. However, you could still order ZPK on its own. You just had to specify it independently now. My CA alerted me to this, confirmed that I indeed wanted all parts of the old ZPP, and updated my order accordingly. The price difference between ZPP and ZP2 was the exact amount of the ZPK package, thus ZPK+ZP2=ZPP both in terms of features and total price. |

Spent the afternoon yesterday getting my M550 nice and shiny. For anyone who cares about detailing, I washed, lightly clayed, and then put a layer of Megs UFF on there. Plan to apply the new Hybrid Ceramic Wax stuff at the next wash. Already put some UCW on the wheels to see if it makes it easier to remove brake dust.
Anyway, woke up to a nasty rainy day but said to hell with it, grabbed my camera and spent the morning driving around and enjoying the car on my way to lunch and the drycleaners. Was able to get some nice shots in during a break in the rain, including the mocha/fineline cove matte interior which I am seriously in love with. I don't think any camera does the Azurite Black paint any justice - even with the clouds it was sparkling from certain angles. Mrs. Lee reported that when she took it to work her coworkers were confused as to whether the car was black or blue. There's a few photos from inside the garage, too, so y'all can see how nice it was looking before I applied 30 miles of road grime to it. Picked up two other firsts today - first fill-up (I love that Shell gets a little promo on the inside of the fuel door) and first rock chip, smack in the middle of the hood while I was on the highway. Oh well - bound to happen sometime! Anyway, enough reading. Here's the link: View post on imgur.com |

Beautiful car & color choices.
I'm still partial to my AW after having dark cars for many years (and so many other dark 5-series around here), but your choice might have been my second. Sorry about the chip, but now that you have it, you can stop stressing about when it will happen. I'm still fussing when my wife brushes against it in the garage and takes off a layer of dust that has settled. |

My first hood chip was my own fault.
While power-washing, I changed tips on the spray gun and it was not fully clicked in. When I turned on the washer, it shot out like a bullet striking the hood leaving a small, but noticeable to me chip. Found the tip days later in my lawn.
