I've driven the 28i, as a loaner we had for a couple of days. We had an E84 X35i and I daily a Mk7 GTI. I don't get it. If that's good handling or sportiness, I guess the rental Elantra I had recently could win an F1 race.
BMW should stick to rwd, or at least try to get back to the R series Mini's dynamics. Adding more power isn't going to fix the dynamics of these things. |

You mean the one with continuing sales support and parts supply for decades because they also build cars that people actually buy? What the hell kind of business model is that?
Oldies moaned about the Cayenne then went out and bought Caymans that Porsche could continue making because they made the Cayenne. The same oldies are now whining about how BMW makes cars for people to buy so that they can buy cars they... want to buy. There's nothing new under the sun. Or indeed, properly considered. |

Something some in here may someday realize, is that most of what BMW is pushing sells because of clever financing. If you had $40K, would you really put out over $40K on one of these X2's? Just put that hard earned cash under the wiper blade and claim, this X2 is mine?
That's the true test.

I've had a P car, and I completely understand that the MSRP is merely the starting point from an end price perspective...aka, I think the average P car has around 20K in options added in.

Spreadsheet attached with three builds.
- The Choice build is my only consideration. My Base build doesn't save enough money to lure me that direction. - Added a stripper SensaTec (non-M Seat) build without Premium Package for fun. Interesting it's right at $50k. 🍁🍂

I recently had a X2 loaner and generally liked it. The more restricted outward visibility didn't bother me as much I thought it would. Car handles nice and it is well put together as any other BMW is. But my basic sample stickered at $40K. For that money I much prefer a 330i or a 1-2 year old CPO 5 series, 340i, etc.

Have to disagree, I think the Macan represents an exceptional value in the small SUV segment. Base + Choice of Paint + Premium Package Plus for < $55k MSRP and has everything you need plus more (pano, alcantara/leather interior, all safety feature, PDK, etc.). Additionally, you can negotiate tha price down closer to 50k. |

There is no M330i either, but there is an ///M318d in the works. Here it is, disguised as an E90 mule: Don't let anyone - ANYONE - tell you that this is just some twonk who put aftermarket badges on his repmobile. It exists, and is therefore factory-sanctioned. 136 hp M-powah ftw! |

I recently had a test drive of the Jaguar i-Pace launch edition. Standing beside it, my overriding impression was that it reminded me of the X2 I had also recently test driven. Looking at the pictures of the Red interior, if the X2 had a leather dash option, it would compete with the Jag's all-leather, which I thought was Bentleyesque. Except for the typical electric car zero RPM torque, it drove the same, as well. I liked both, for what they are: long hatchbacks with a little more ground clearance and easier for my old joints to get into than a 3-series.
Having owned a Porsche 991.1 C2S, which I sold after 4 years, I know that one needs to add 20% to the base number to get a Porsche you want out the door. The Porsche resale, unless you have gone crazy with the options, is better than a BMW. The Porsche residuals are so low, compared even with BMW's revised residuals, that one really should buy rather than lease. The Macan is a small SUV, where the X2 is an extended hatch, whose looks I like better. I'll consider an X2 M35i when my 330e lease tolls in 2020 and get one if the deal is right. |

Can anyone with info/knowledge tell me how much less than the stated MSRP a custom X2 build is selling for right now? I only have previous experience ordering M cars which I almost always got for Invoice price + $500.
https://www.bmwusa.com/byo.html#!/bu...mmary/dux2lvfe Thank you in advance!
