SO many BMWs sporting fake M badges.
Are the Dealers selling M stuff in their inside stores?
I guess ma and pa are buying all sorts of crap in the retail stores

I actually think that BMW either do not really care, or actually encourage all the M stuff being sold at their stores. It sure does irritate the BMW enthusiasts

Back in the late nineties/early noughties when I owned my e34 M5 if you'd wanted to buy an M badge from my dealer you had to show them your log book to prove ownership, as they wouldn't sell you one if you didn't actually own an M car.

I know this as I had to buy a set to replace the M badges that I'd previously removed when I went to sell the car.
