That would be great!!! But I doubt we get those in Europe since Bridgestone does not seem to market the Pole Position version of its RE050A tires here. However I think that RE050 are the more likely tires to come standard, asymmetric or not.
I only expect that RF are not that bad, anyway... |

The best tires I've ever had are Yoko Advan Nevoa AD07s. The grip is otherwordly, and the amount of control offered at high slip angles surpasses any other tire I've ever driven.
I've had PS2s on this car and others, and they really can't hold a candle to the Advan Nevoas, IMO. Especially if you do any track or auto-x, they hold up far better, while still offering more grip and feedback. They are slightly noisier, but I think that's made up for by the raw grip, and the exceptionally smooth breakaway. I drive my father's Boxster S with PS2s pretty regularly, and it can't approach the cornerning speeds I can reach in the S2k w/AD07s before starting to understeer, which really says something about the tires, given how much extra rubber the Boxster has, and given who did the supsension tuning on that car ;-). |

The Bridgestone Potenza RE-01Rs are supposed to be at least equal to the Neovas on the adhesion end, with more civilized everyday street behavior. They may very well be my replacement tires for the 135i. |

The Neovas are DEFINITELY quite loud, but the S2K isn't really quiet to begin with, so I don't mind. I'll definitely try the RE-01Rs at some point too. |

Think it will be possible to squeeze some 255s in there?

Ditto. I've had Rosso's, Conti's, PS2's on my M3. The Toyos are by far my favorites.

Anybody tried Nitto Invo's? My driver Ralph has them on his Rogue Wagon (the e46 station wagon with M3 drivetrain)

For those of you who have tried them, how do these tires you are mentioning here compare to the Kumho ecsta? I have them on the e46 325i I drive, and they grip very well, with good wet traction as well.

Anyone tried the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R? I've heard good things about them. Wonder if the dry grip is same or better than the Michelin PS2.

I was looking at stock tire sizes (215/40/18 and 245/35/18) and I can't find what I would consider a good tire in that combination. I was hoping to put on some Bridgestone RE-01Rs when I get my 1, but the closest things are 225/40 and 255/35. Not bad, but the problem is that the rear ends up being 2 mm smaller in diameter than the front. Since it's usually the other way around in most cars, with the rears having slightly larger diameters, do you guys think that will be a problem, especially at the track?

I was looking at the tire specs on the tire rack and RE-01Rs would be slightly smaller in the rear in those sizes but the PS2s are slightly larger in the rear in those sizes. so it all depends what tires your set on but different manufactures vary in the actual size. |
