FSC coding for CarPlay on X2 lacking 6CP

I have an X2 with all options apart from 6CP. VIN .

Is it possible to code CarPlay?

Itching to have this done. F20 owner here though. Last bit of vin is 5D84449.

Pulled headunit out the other day and definitely has the ability to add a Wi-fi antenna and already have one on order.

I have no idea if you have WLAN Port or not. You cannot tell from VIN nor FA.

You can post HWEL here or just disassemble the headunit.
I'll be able to tell if it has WLAN or not.

Hi, i have entrynav2 unit without WLAN port on my 68 plate F21. Is CarPlay possible? Or will i need new head-unit? (with WLAN). If so, can all service history, vehicle info, connected drive subscriptions etc be kept? Ive seen one on ebay for a good price but does it cost alot for the FSC as opposed to getting a pro nav unit? Cheers

You must have WLAN Port. If you retrofit OEM Head Unit, all should work properly.

You can’t just put used headunit. It has to be prepared on bench before connecting to the car(if you have navigation).

Thanks, what does prepared on bench mean? I assume if i buy the same type of headunit (but with wifi) it can be coded with my current HU data? I thought that was the idea of getting a retrofit and a coder? Im not technical with this type of stuff apologies lol.

You need to virginize it on bench(with CAN filter) before connecting to the vehicle, otherwise you will get component protection.
