Volume button not working

Hi,

I’ve just collected a 2019 X1. Whilst I’m pleased with it the volume control button on the radio does not work. It’ll mute or turn the power off but won’t change the volume. Luckily the steering wheel controls work.

Any ideas would be appreciated otherwise it’ll be a trip back to the dealer!!

Thanks.

So the power knob spins around OK, but this doesn't adjust the volume at all? That sounds like a job for the dealer to be honest... I get OCD about mine, and like having the power icon on the knob vertically-aligned, so rotate the knob while using the steering wheel button to counteract the change in volume. Both work thankfully.

Oh my god that's funny. So I got into my wife's car and turned the volume down and she freaked out at me and explained the same thing. I thought it was so funny, but then I said.. you know what? Every single car we own does not have any picture on the volume knob, so it doesn't matter. And I went ant got myself an X2 M35i ... and now I have to align the volume knob too..

I'm glad it's not just me then My wife usually leaves the volume knob all over the place when she's been driving, but if I notice it out of place I have to turn it back to vertical. I just can't leave it out of alignment

Hah! More people who like to align the volume control!

Anyone else want to admit to OCD regarding climate control?

Both sides the same, both even numbers (although 5s are allowed) and definitely no half degrees!

Hehe I'm always on sync to match both sides.. And thankfully on my new car on F settings I get every degree. On the X1 it only goes in two increments which is wild. (If we drive to Celsius it will go in single digits)
